DRY HATE In 1985 a punk band with a very Raw style and not much for clean recordings or double takes or tuning for that matter was formed by 3 friends who all had a bone to pick with society. There popularity in the Northeast was due in part My the Hair-band Explosion around the same time. This enraged the 3 members not to mention the Hatred of Love songs. And THEY WEREN'T ALONE Some people have stated that DRy Hate was much like Nirvana but allot more punk Simple Songs - Lyric that beg to be laugh at. And RAW energy. Dry Hate never claimed to be the next big thing nor did they want to be. They were young pissed off and full of rebellion. There car wreak music and Was driven by Drummer and Songwriter A lan-hed many recordings you can hear the Lord yelling about the noise. This of course meant to turn it up. ( Drummer Neil Pert once had a lengthy conversation about the usage of the hi hat with visual aid from a coffee creamer in a IHOP - still left perplexed by the simple yet very complicated patterns Ant was laying down.) The counter point Bottom end was provided by eclectic Jazz bassist and singer Moe. Who also wrote allot of the Lyric. and contributed to the song writing greatly. His sprit was the glue for this partnership. He could make you feel like something very bad was about to happen so you better fucking rock it out. (Adam Lane -World renown Jazz great in the Noise scene, still listens in disbelief at the sheer genius of this Man. ) The sound of the Crash is provided by Jspat. If he ever tuned his guitar - his style would still at best bewildering. Not only does he deify music theory he makes is up as he goes along. My tunes were crafted by this Man. I say to you put down the EMO Cd and back away from the computer. These guys are going to fuck you up and you'll beg for more and then shear it with your friends.
