Johnny unplugged...Just me live with an acoustic guitar singing from the heart. The song is a jazz based confession of failure that becomes a prayer and finally a message of hope and peace for the listener. A contemporary Psalm, if you will...:)

I am an independent writer/performer/producer making summery sounds with lots of harmony, guitars, and emotion.
Brian Wilson said of his epic work Pet Sounds, "I wanted to make the listener feel loved." Those words have always remained with me and I hope to share loving, healing sounds with the listener as well.

Story behind the song
This was a moment of deep humility for me and a whisper of hope for the power of God's felt presence. I was alone and the loneliness led me to this very solitary sound and yearning for assurance.
Lyrics
Mr. Know-it-all you fall so hard and fast and feel so small I wonder- Do you hear the call of home? Blame it on the sands of time That robbed you of a fruitful prime But don't you see? You need not climb alone There is a place Your heart can safely rest There is a place your spirit will be blessed by love so fatherly and good Firmly as it should be Holding you from ever facing you alone Save me from the jaws of hell Come to me in my darkened cell I kneeled to pray But hope just fell away Let me see those wounds of love That satisfied the Law enough To justify this sinful lump of clay There is a place Your heart can safely rest There is a place your spirit will be blessed by love so fatherly and good Firmly as it should be Holding you from ever facing you alone (c) 1992 Old Sarge Music
