- - - - - - - - - - SpitbucketZ - - - - - - - - - - First let me say this: The SpitbucketZ is not a band. So what is The SpitbucketZ you ask? It all started around the 12th century when various authors who translated and popularized the discoveries of Islamic alchemists brought the art of distillation to Europe, and With it: alcohol. Combine that with Rickenbackers introduction of the electric guitar in the 1930s, and you have the recipe for success. Not the first band to get drunk you say? I already told you; The SpitbucketZ is not a band. The SpitbucketZ is a way of thought, a lifestyle, and most importanly a unique approach to music. There are a few specific things that set the ensemble appart from traditional bands. First of all there is no permanent line-up; whoever is present and meet the requirements can be called upon to do an effort in the recording process. There are however a few people found in all the recordings. These are the core-members who have taken it upon themselves to encourage further gatherings and recordings. Band members include: Már Járngrímr the Bucketeer - Ensemble Conductor Zornot the Impaler - Piercing solo artist Eirich Longshaft the Grim - Extemporizer of the bass Mr.Hammerhead - Beatmaster Onkel Smerte - Bringer of Pain Thörst - Master Drunkard The Regurgitating Vibrator - Main Belcher Mighty Mog of Madness - Atmosphere Enlightener Don Christian of the Sunny Hills - Muse Now to the above mentioned requirements for recording. The key rule to The SpitbucketZ is that all instrumental activity is to be done in a drunken state. Note that material for original songs can be created while sober, but the final evaluation of it must be while under the influence of alcohol, and in fellowship with one or more of the SpitbucketZ community. Naturally this means the proccess of making new material is agonizingly slow at best, so The SpitbucketZ fills the time perfecting songs already recorded by others. We don't mean this as insults to the bands in question, but they simply did not do it right the first time. In the tranquil state of drunkeness we are able to channel the music as it's meant to be, and hopefully we will have recording equipement at hand when that happens. To be eligible for recording with The SpitbucketZ, one must be unable to perform one or more of the following tasks: -Walk in/on a straight line -Pee standing up without spilling a drop -Maintain an erection -Draw a perfet circle, or something close to it....actually making the ends meet is hard enough. -Play your instrument properly - Már -
