This is a blues song with full band accompaniment. Sometimes I like to get away from the gentle stuff and deliver a gutsier, more soulful vocal!

Story behind the song
If you listen to the lyrics of this song I think it's fairly obvious what inspired the writing of it. It's in the title, and something most people, especially men, can relate to as a result of having gone through such an experience at some point in their lives.
Lyrics
Can't Show My Heart I can't show my heart I can't sell my pride I can't bring myself to tell you What I think of you. It's a life apart, Oh, this world inside A private place I only wish That I could show to you. Chorus: You look so good You seem so kind And if I could I'd speak of what's on my mind Can you tell me now If you think of me As more than just a tiny footnote In the life you lead? Does it show somehow Or is it hard to see The way I feel you have a presence Which is rare indeed? Chorus Instrumental break and chorus Repeat of verse one and chorus
