Hi! Thanks for listening to my song! My name is Scott and for the last two years I've performed with a great San Diego band, the Ranch Rockers (www.ranchrockers.com). Will be leaving the band in October to spend more time concentrating on song writing. I'll appreciate any feedback you'd like to send my way, Cheers!!

Story behind the song
Several of our friends started going through some hard times last year. With a few of the couples, infidelity was involved. I couldn't imagine having to explain something like that to my 5 year old...this song was a result of this.
Lyrics
Title: My Little Girl Words & Lyrics: Copyright 2004 Scott Southworth Verse 1: I’m sorry, but I won’t be home for dinner…anymore I won’t miss your recitals, I’ll just be in the back…by the door You’re too young to understand the “how’s and why’s” today I don’t know if I could explain myself anyway. Chorus: But you’ll still be my little girl; I’ll still be your dad I’ll pick you up on weekends, it won’t be so bad And I’ll call you every night to tuck you in… And I’ll sing… You’ll still be my little girl Verse 2: I know my new apartment doesn’t look…it don’t feel like home But I’m right there in the room next door, we can even leave the hall light on You start the movie, I’ll grab the popcorn from the microwave Dry those eyes, let’s try to make the most of these two days Chorus Bridge: Don’t take it out on Momma, she’s only doing right A woman can only take so many cold, suspicious nights Daddy made a promise, that daddy didn’t keep… Maybe someday I’ll be strong enough to tell you all this …When you’re not asleep… You’ll still be my little girl; I’ll still be your dad I’ll see you next weekend, god this hurts so bad But I’ll call you every night to tuck you in… And I’ll sing… You’ll still be my little girl… You’ll still be my little girl You’ll still be my little girl.
