Story behind the song
My inspiration for writing this song was a Hollywood action hero being elected Governor. I'm sure I'd have written one about Reagan too if I were alive 40 years ago...

Arnold, Tell Us...
There once was a fellow named Arnold,
Who was the best action hero in town,
Well one day he boldly decided,
To turn California around.
He said with an air of composure
“From Commando to Terminator 3,
I’ve saved the world several times over…
So how hard could politics be.”
Arnold tell us,
All politicians are jealous,
You were just down in Beverly Hills,
Now you’re passing and vetoing bills.
Well Arnold appealed to the masses,
He said he’s our number one choice,
He vowed that he’d balance the budget,
And give Californians a voice.
He said, “I can sense your frustration,
And I know what it’s like to be poor,
Each time my chauffeur’s on vacation,
I open my own limo door!”
Arnold tell us,
All politicians are jealous
Which of your Hollywood roles
Led to so much success at the polls.
Well some folks are openly furious
On the issues which Arnold has stood,
They say that his lack of experience
Makes Jessie Ventura look good.
Though his critics all harp on his weak points,
His assets are rather profound,
After all there aren’t too many governors
Who can bench nearly 600 pounds.

The liberals are all simply jealous
Show me just one democrat with a .1% body fat.
As he watches our job market shrinking
You might wonder what goes through his head,
But it’s hard just to know what he’s thinking
When you can’t understand what he’s said!
With a budget that’s steadily sinking,
And a governor from Hollywood,
I know what you’re all probably thinking…
