wanted to make an edgy/industrial version of the slick Nile Rogers pieced together Bowie song from '83 - I never thought the OG was brilliant, certainly not 'Bowie Brilliant' but Rogers took a snippet and turned it into a cool groove for sure.

some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more..
think back to when Elton John wrote and released 'Philadelphia Freedom' in 1975 and how the world just got on with what it had to as opposed to enabling influencers and reality programs in their quest to dumb down as many folk as possible and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools...ok, Christmas salutations from myself, Jill, Louie the wonder dog and cha-cha the kitty kat, everyone else has left us now, lol - empty nesters...haha! can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll...

Story behind the song
Bowie bored already with the whole new romantic scene...? probably, as he did get bored quickly so yeah teaming with Nile (the 'go to' producer of the early 80's) seemed the right thing to do and you know, they were right...well, for at least 10 million fans anyway, lol!
Lyrics
put on your red shoes and dance the night away...under the moonlight, the serious moonlight...

There's something kind of other worldly about this mix and it's fascinating to hear a completely new version of this classic, two different producers can make a song entirely different! Enjoyed the trip into this other world...far out!

Oh yeah, this is wild and good. It sounds like a Bowie mashup as the vocal timbre is close. This metal version is different but cool. Like I've said music without boundaries. Great heavy drums too!

Yeah this is different Greg but a good version. Just shows what you can do when you take a song and give it a new angle.

Well this is a different flavor of Bowie transformed from glam to goth. Good original take on this.
