Christ centered songs written by Dan Simmons...the best Gospel and inspirational A.I. music on the internet!
"firesong" is the songwriting ministry of Dan Simmons Thanks for stopping by. It's my desire to faithfully share that which has been given to me. This website will be a sampling of recordings that I, along with family and friends, have done over past 45 years. There are over 600 original unpublished songs presented in demo form on this site. Special thanks go to my partners in music, my daughter Amber, son Ian and the guys of Single Heart (Gene, Bob, Chris, Marty and Tata) who joined me to sing praises to the Lord down through the years. I also wish to thank those co-writers and artists that have joined with me in developing new music the passed few years to share on this website. I'm now featuring AI (Artificial Intelligence) groups that I've developed to sing some of the songs. I hope it's evident to everyone... that though the melodies and harmonies, styles and singers may change... JESUS has always been and will always be...the Song! ...this music is one simple expression of a very thankful heart. (Dan is a retired firefighter and ordained minister)

Lyrics
They tell me truth is neither black nor white But shades of gray make up what's right A vague array confounds our sight...as we stumble on the way But black is black and white is white My sin was black as the darkest night His righteousness....the purest white...so very far away I'm so thankful for shades of grace Like the crimson flow through the crown of thorns That fell down on His face I know black is black and white is white...each one may have its place But Lord I'm thankful for those shades of grace Jesus holds in His nail-scarred hands A brush to paint the heart of man Each stroke so great each hue so grand...the darkness is replaced And truth concealed by blackest night Is now revealed and brought to Light A masterpiece, so clear and bright...unveiled in shades of grace I'm so thankful for the shades of grace Like the crimson flow through the crown of thorns That fell down on His face Black is black and white is white...each one may have its place But Lord I'm thankful for those shades of grace Oh, the colors of the rainbow cant compare to them Each brushstroke of His mercy... can change the lives of men I'm so thankful for each shade of grace Like the crimson flow through the crown of thorns That fell down on His face Black is black and white is white...each one may have its place But Lord I'm thankful for those shades of grace I know black is black and white is white...each one may have its place But Lord I'm thankful for those shades of grace So thankful for those shades of grace
