Christ centered songs written by Dan Simmons...the best Gospel and inspirational A.I. music on the internet!
"firesong" is the songwriting ministry of Dan Simmons Thanks for stopping by. It's my desire to faithfully share that which has been given to me. This website will be a sampling of recordings that I, along with family and friends, have done over past 45 years. There are over 600 original unpublished songs presented in demo form on this site. Special thanks go to my partners in music, my daughter Amber, son Ian and the guys of Single Heart (Gene, Bob, Chris, Marty and Tata) who joined me to sing praises to the Lord down through the years. I also wish to thank those co-writers and artists that have joined with me in developing new music the passed few years to share on this website. I'm now featuring AI (Artificial Intelligence) groups that I've developed to sing some of the songs. I hope it's evident to everyone... that though the melodies and harmonies, styles and singers may change... JESUS has always been and will always be...the Song! ...this music is one simple expression of a very thankful heart. (Dan is a retired firefighter and ordained minister)

A retake and remake of "The Prodigal"...performed by Fremont Street
Lyrics
I was a prodigal... so far from my Father's home Wandering all alone....there in the night He was the loving Son...He was the faithful One Yet He walked the darkest road to bring me back into the Light I was a wayward child...independent and strong and wild Yet I was the one beguiled...walking by sight He was the Morning Star...the Light of the Father's heart Yet He walked the darkest road to bring me back into the Light I was a beggar...He was a King Yet He walked Calvary's road for me I was a wayward lamb...He was the great I Am Yet He took me by the hand and brought me back into the Light (Play it boys!) I was a beggar...He was a King Yet He walked Calvary's road for me I was a prodigal...I thought I was in control But I'd lost my heart and soul...somewhere in the night He was the Morning Star...the Light of the Father's heart Yet He walked that darkest road to bring me back into the Light Yeah, He walked the darkest road to bring me back into the Light He walked the darkest road to bring me back to the Light He walked the darkest road and He brought me back into the Light (Take us out boys!)
