Story behind the song
Sometimes a relationship just falls by the wayside... doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.
Lyrics
Hello, how ya doin? I hope its not too late for a call Just thought Id be pursuing, what we might have left if theres anything left at all Yes I guess Im fine, playin' gigs, moneys comin in I hoped youd drop me a line, but lately youre a ghost and Im wondering where youve been Seems theres a strange tone to your voice, rather matter of fact Maybe baby have you got something on your mind, hold nothing back (You) say you re heading west in September, is it LA, or San Francisco? (I) cant help but remember, that was what we planned when we started up long ago You hesitated to tell me, you thought it might break my heart That may very well be, but Im more or less resigned to the fact that were now apart But still I never thought it would be like this, when you told me goodbye I somehow thought that we would come back from the abyss, after time had gone by When You Go when you leave will you know how I grieve Will my song make you smile all along every mile I wish you luck and success, girl, and thanks for wishing me the same I guess weve said all the rest, girl, its funny how it turned out but theres nobody really to blame Im on the road till December, you say youll be gone by then But Ill always remember, everything we shared since we started out way back when When you go when you leave will you know how I grieve Will my song make you smile all along every mile

Good story telling is such a key element to these songs and really love the 70’s feel, vocals and guitar.
