Christ centered songs written by Dan Simmons...the best Gospel and inspirational A.I. music on the internet!
"firesong" is the songwriting ministry of Dan Simmons Thanks for stopping by. It's my desire to faithfully share that which has been given to me. This website will be a sampling of recordings that I, along with family and friends, have done over past 45 years. There are over 600 original unpublished songs presented in demo form on this site. Special thanks go to my partners in music, my daughter Amber, son Ian and the guys of Single Heart (Gene, Bob, Chris, Marty and Tata) who joined me to sing praises to the Lord down through the years. I also wish to thank those co-writers and artists that have joined with me in developing new music the passed few years to share on this website. I'm now featuring AI (Artificial Intelligence) groups that I've developed to sing some of the songs. I hope it's evident to everyone... that though the melodies and harmonies, styles and singers may change... JESUS has always been and will always be...the Song! ...this music is one simple expression of a very thankful heart. (Dan is a retired firefighter and ordained minister)

Lyrics
I heard a story...about a man down by the river He was building a house... out there on the sand Now he worked hard...day and night to deliver A mansion mighty... a castle great and grand Well the storms of life fell hard and this foundation Cracked and crumbled...and mighty was the fall I guess the things that he had thought... he could build his life upon Lay broken, ruined...he had lost it all (verse) Then I heard about... a wise man I am told And he was building a house... but not with silver or gold The footings he laid...deep down in that sod Were straight and strong...set on the word of God Well the storms of life fell hard...but this foundation Stood every tempest...and every stormy blast I guess the things that he had thought... he could build his life upon They were the very things in life... that will last (chorus) If youre building a house...a house down by the river Build it up...but not on the shifting sand You better find a firm foundation From lifes stormy situations You better find yourself a Rock...where you can stand If youre building a house...a house down by that river of life Build it up...but not on the shifting sand You better find a firm foundation From lifes stormy situations You better find yourself a Rock...where you can stand You better find a firm foundation... from lifes stormy situations You need find yourself a Rock...where you can stand!
