Lyrics by Dave Gill For Mary and her brother Chris life wasn't all that hard but neither liked to clean the house, their bedrooms or the yard They never washed a single dish or stitch of dirty clothes The neighborhood was clueless but old Santa always knows The Naughty List was full again and much to his dismay Mary and her brother Chris were at the top today so late that night while all asleep he slipped inside their home and came upon an awful scene that chilled him to his bones The tree was bare of ornaments the stockings smelled like feet the furniture was covered in what looked like rotting meat The house was in a shambles with broken things galore It was the very Mary Chris Mess of twenty twenty four! Children must be good all year that's what the stories say go to sleep on Christmas eve for toys on Christmas day But when you're on the Naughty List no toys are to be had for Mary and her brother Chris they spent their Christmas sad So remember children this lesson you should keep don't get on the Naughty List be sure to go to sleep Christmas day is coming and if you want some toys avoid a Mary Chris mess and be good girls and boys
