A song about how we were entrusted with God's world.. And how we then screwed it up..

It would be wrong to call us a throw back. But we are all heavily influenced from a time when music was musical. An influence from the 60's, 70's, and 80's rock
We are just a few musicians who always had serious musical aspirations ,alas, real life got in the way. And then a few years ago, we were presented with an opportunity to get together, write, and record... One of the common bonds between us all is the disappointment in the current music scene on the radio and worldwide. What ever happened when you actually had to know how to play an instrument to be a musician in a band? What ever happened to the time when good bands also had good hooks in their songs? We know that type of music is still out there. It just seems that you hardly hear it anymore.

Story behind the song
This cut is a pre-mix. We are still fixing up a few items. This was one of Dave's songs. It fit the band so well we had to record it.
Lyrics
CHOIR: Wrong, wrong, we have been so wrong, we need Your love to carry on Wrong, wrong, we have been so wrong, we need Your love to make us strong…(repeat all twice…) SOLO: (over 2nd chorus) Oh Lord, won’t you hear my prayer?…Throw Your Light over Everywhere, Oh Lord, don’t You hear my plea?…Come back down and rescue me… Verse #1 -------- Can you hear the church bells ringin’ through these midnight streets? Do you fear the darkness, baby, and the devil you may meet? Can you hear that hooker crying? The final breath of a crack-head dying? These fallen angel children are Your own…. Chorus ------ Oh Lord, Take It Back We have all been wrong for far too long… Oh Lord, take it all back We’re not worthy of Your perfect love (to guitar solo…) Verse #2 -------- Politicians pushing panaceas for the masses We consume the rhetoric, we’re greedy for the message We damn the Earth and damn ourselves with every broken promise And in the end we all give in, saying, “we were powerless” Chorus Solo Chorus Outro ------ I remember to a time when the world was young When Beauty, Truth and Innocence were the House of the Rising Son From Masters of our Destiny to slaves we have become Our shadows even now are growing longer…………as we run…
