Story behind the song
My son very recently went to Canada for 2 years. At 26 he feels very unfulfilled. This is a chance to learn what he wants in life and hopefully return a bit more fulfilled.

Decisions made for leaving, didn’t know if I was coming back
Walking out was the only option, could feel myself losing track
Back then was the start of a journey, a different path to clear my head
I couldn’t deal with those around me, So I walked away instead

Time spent away relieved me, gave time to process may things
The noise of living became easy, and focus on what life brings
I can see a future without hurting, use life lessons I have learned
