a song i wrote for my middle girl Kayleigh...there is nothing like the feeling of a child catching you off guard with a question of "Know what daddy?"...and then saying "I love you"...one of Gods simple gifts He gives us

Pulls me down to her size and looks into my face.
“Daddy, know what?” she asks. But, I’ve no clue.
Stares deep into my eyes, says “Daddy I love you.”…it’s

Simple things the Lord has given us each day.
These memory makers never go away.
But often, we don’t look for them. They come and pass us by.
We miss the simple things that satisfy.
