Story behind the song
At 11pm every night, an old gentleman came 'round our apartment building on a bicycle with a large tea-kettle on the back. The whistle is the sound of steam escaping from the kettle. Lately the whistle has stopped and I miss it. The vocals are courtesy of an old lady singing karaoke in Taichung park. I played the chopsticks...
