Lyrics
Lying here in darkness Far too long Dont need forgiveness Ive done nothing wrong When this night is over They may set me free If they keep me longer Theyll have to bury me Just to see the light of day May drive me insane Now this is my time to go Im gonna get the hell away Take me down to the water Down to the rivers bend Ive got to wash the shame off of me So I can feel human again Solos A victim of slave trade Many years unknown She was lost and broken Brought here all alone They keep her up in a private room For special company If she tops all the others That work out in the streets All she wants is to get back home Now Shes running away When she finally walked out the door This is all she had to say Take me down to the water Down to the rivers bend Ive got to wash the shame off of me So I can feel human again (Repeat chorus)

Great melodic rocker. Love the flute that you handle so well. Bluesy melody, that fits your voice perfectly. Great lyrics on an important subject. Great song on all levels!

It's been a while but here I am again, LOL! Powerful bluesy song, great guitar work and your usual quality vocals, what else can you say, this really good! I have new one here, I hope you have time to take a listen: https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14335114 'Something Borrowed Something New'

Really cool to hear flute in this. Perfect fit in the mix. Guitar sounds are thick and rich and the vocal has a great edge to it. Enjoyed this listen.

Nice interplay between the guitar and flute, great musicianship. Add excellent lyrics and you have really good song. BTW, I've added some new (old!) stuff on my page. Three MIDI only very early Cubase efforts, before knowing anything about quantizing etc. Also a live recording of my old band Mickey Finn, 'Real Thing'. Just letting you know, no pressure... ;)

Great lyrics that really tell a story about today's world occurrences. Driving tone in the guitars - and you broke out that flute :) Mine needs a cleaning (as do my guitars and violins). I like the swing bass - great musical piece once again Dale :)

Sounds good! - I like this hard rock drive combined with airy flute intonations. One more song of the brand with the inscription Dale Kaul.
