Story behind the song
older song with lyrics below, and just now got around to giving it life. again no singing but implied as you go along wanted this to be a more slow paced and orchestral song because of the context in which i wrote it so long ago. for it to feel more romantic and winding down... but i couldnt make that work and then i heard the drum beat from the Mortal Kombat movie and sang this along to it... funny how things work themselves out. the song story itself romanticizes star-crossed lovers and what might have been had things taken a different path. (lyric) theres a lot of repetition and its all the same sequence but there are 2 sides to the story... one professing love, and the other warm at the thought of being loved and knowing its reciprocated. the sequence at 90 seconds came from a completely different song but it seemed to fit in here and give a slight break from the adrenaline
