For over 40 years I played lead guitar and did back-up vocals in various country bands. It has been one of the greatest thrills of my life. But, these days I stay at home and compose songs, both lyrics and music. My writing style is much broader than just country music. I also write southern rock, a little blues, lots of smooth jazz and movie themes and even some latin music. I have been writing for about 20 years and hope to for quite a few more years.

Lyrics
Let’s Make Love Tonight © 2017 Alan D. David, BMI / Diana Bowers, BMI (v1) The fire is low, with flames aglow Your eyes are shining bright Your hand in mine, somehow I find The atmosphere’s just right Your lips so sweet, when ours meet I’m higher than a kite Turn down the lights, and let’s make love tonight (CHORUS) Hold me close, don’t let me go Whisper everything’s alright I need your touch, darlin’ oh so much A fire I just can’t fight Turn down the lights, and let’s make love tonight Instrumental Verse (v2) The moon so high, up in the sky Cupid’s arrow launched in flight The stars above, remind me of How soft you hold me tight You already know, I love you so And there’s no end in sight Turn down the lights, and let’s make love tonight (CHORUS) Hold me close, don’t let me go Whisper everything’s alright I need your touch, darlin’ oh so much A fire I just can’t fight Turn down the lights, and let’s make love tonight TAG Turn down the lights, and let’s make love tonight
