Story behind the song
I wrote this song after a youth retreat, I believe in 2004, maybe 2003.
Lyrics
Verse 1: There was a time when I could feel You in my heart, And everything within this world could not tear us apart. Now I feel as if You've gone away. Where are You now? Verse 2: It seems to me this world has led me through a lot of pain. And everytime I pull myself together, I break again. I want someone to answer this question that haunts my heart and soul: Where are You now? Chorus: I search myself for answers, but find only questions there. And I sometimes can't help wondering if You're really even there. I want to feel the love of Your embrace. I want to see the beauty of Your face. Where are You now? Bridge: I feel alone when I can't feel You by my side. Despite what I am feeling, I know that You are there. Ending: Help me know You're here. Let me know Your heart. Come be by my side. You're with me now.
