Story behind the song
Conceived November 1988. This is Take 1 Mix 20. Recorded November 1988 & February, April 1989 Yamaha MT-100
First take of "Guitar Symphony #1", before I came up with the "Prelude" section.
Recorded first in November 1988; then several months later adding harmony lead guitars, then a couple of months after that, added drums/cymbals, percussion, &........
.....oh no COWBELL OVERKILL!!!
Initially laid down Rhythm Guitar, "Bass" Guitar, a Distortion Rhythm Guitar (that doubles as a clean "Harmonics" guitar through the "quiet" sections) & a Lead guitar on Tracks 1-4.
Then a mix-down to cassette & bounce back to 4 track onto Track 1.
Then Harmony Lead guitars on tracks 2-4
Then a couple months later, put the stereo mix onto 2 tracks, & did a couple tracks of Drums/Cymbals, followed by another mix-down/bounce back, & the final overdubs....
....where I become POSSESSED by that fictional Blue Oyster Cult percussionist YET AGAIN!! :-o
