A Real One for the Real God
Story behind the song
The beat seemed very soulful. This is the 2nd track I recorded on this project and it became the theme of the whole mixtape. I used some lyrics that I had already written on my facebook notes from years ago. The main lyric being "I struggle not for the green or gold, I'm on the road where we starve the flesh, feed the soul." I connected this to how I'm in a spiritual war for my soul and the 1st verse acknowledges the Armor of God, which is needed for this warfare!
