Lyrics
Well if friends with their fancy persuasion Don't admit that it's part of a scheme Then I can't help but have my suspicions 'Cause I ain't quite as dumb as I seem And you said you was never intending To break up our scene in this way But there ain't any use in pretending It could happen to us any day. How long has this been going on? How long has this been going on? Oh, your friends with their fancy persuasion Don't admit that it's part of a scheme Then I can't help but have my suspicions 'Cause I ain't quite as dumb as I seem Oh, you said you was never intending To break up our scene in this way But there ain't any use in pretending It could happen to us any day. How long has this been going on? How long has this been going on?

One of my favorites. Bob, Your voice is amazing. The best I have ever heard the song performed. Great harmonies, backup vocals. Much better with your voice and Guitar work. Better than the artist that had it on radio.

Oh yes, you would have fit so well in The Eagles. This is a very nice version of this song and you make it very interesting, maybe even more than the original, which is nice but a bit boring. Great work, Bob.

Thanks Bob...one of my favorites. Always loved Paul Carrick's voice and you've done a superb job. I always felt this song had a great atmosphere and I believe it was written when other members of the band were planning to break up when Paul Carrick was with Ace. A familiar tale with so many bands, especially around that time.

What a great cover. Registered a 10 on the goose bump meter when the vocal harmonies come in. Love the bass work and the track is professionally produced - awesome Bob!

One of my most favorite soft rock songs ever. I admire Paul Carrack. Another proof for your unbelievable range, Bobo. You kept the soul and you've added your trademark. How long could this go on? Forever!

Very cool rendition Bob. I like your version. Kind of a cross between Paul's original with Ace and his solo album version. Cool !!!
