Story behind the song
This song took a lot of time to compose I had to many different ideas and couldn’t make up my mind. The finished copy when I listen back to it actually surprises me, the way it all fit together was better than I expected.
Lyrics
I created the whole Blessed Redeem album backwards, they first came to my home studio at Birchmount and Shepard in Scarborough and I recorded them accapella just to get a feel for the creation process. They sang as a group song after song, I felt like I was in a gospel church. With the acapella's I then spent long hard hours creating instrumentals to match their songs, I probably will never do it this way again, way to many hassles. I would rather work one on one with the group directly to feel out exactly what they want. Don't get me wrong over 75 percent of the instrumentals were not changed after I created them and the other twenty would have worked if they would have made changes to the way they sang over it. But besides the fact it was my first time exploring this type of music and I feel it is my best work yet.
