Story behind the song

I've recently re-strung my acoustic 12 string guitar with only the upper octave strings of the 12 string set...thus making it a 'Hi-Strung', or 'Nashville tuned', guitar. Try it sometime, you'll be surprised at how different it feels to play and how different it 'makes' you play.
It's a basic blues vamp in E.

I've used authentic voice samples from a 'survivor' of those hard years.

Very cool and creative, David. I like Nashville tuning and have an old Harmony acoustic that I keep it set up on. Your 12-stringer sounds cool with that tuning. Nice work.

Fantastic job David! The spoken words and the music are perfect together. Brilliant work on the guitar. Love that Southern vibe you've got there and the story behind this creation. Very atmospheric and definitely paints a picture.
