Story behind the song
I was in a relationship at the time I wrote this - I was feeling like I was the only one who cared at the time. I was also touring alot on the road. I remember hating that long boring stretch of road thru kansas on several trip to and fro. I thought it would be a great hook to use a metaphor to make the point of the song.
