Good equipment can be purchased in a day, the rest cannot. Keep working with the rest. (though commercially, you need the superficial aspects, so if you want to succeed commercially instead of artistically, buy better backing equipment - it is what the radio stations go for - a particular safe and familiar 'sound', meaning production and equipment).
