Born in Queens, NY, to Dominican parents Diamante's ability to emanate her Latin influence through her music was never a difficult task. Through hip hop music Ms. Diamante hoped to evolve within the urban culture and would later actively play a role in her community in order to do so. Her music has been a reflection of the urban culture due to her upbringing in an inner-city environment. At the age of seven, she began to display her talent in front of an audience through her participation in a church choir. Her lyrical style is a reflection of her essence and real life struggles defining the true meaning of the word "savvy." She raps and sings in both English and Spanish, writes her own lyrics, composes her own songs, and co-produces much of her music. Ms. Diamante has opened up for artists such as "Terror Squad", "KRS One", "City High", and "Angie Martinez" as well as Latin bands such as "Oro Solido", "Aventura", "Tulile", and "Los Potros del Caballo". Her 27 day "Jazzmatazz" tour with Guru and N'Dea Davenport, placed Ms. Diamante on the European map in 2001 performing in countries such as France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and Austria. As a MC/singer/lyricist, her versatile songs and lyrical content are exactly why everything she touches turns to gold.
