One of my favourite arrangements with a synth guitar sax/horn hook, some hot guitar and an alternative blues progression, portraying a pressure-cooker office environment.
alternative progressive pop rock jazz blues urban satire

Story behind the song
For years I worked as a General Motors sales department manager. I could never complain about the money but I couldn't wait until the day I could afford to early retire. That day came in 2008 and then 2 months later the big market crash occurred, and within the year all of the GM dealerships I had ever worked for were closed down. What irony! Fortunately, I fared much better than the fears which had originally motivated this song.
Lyrics
Gets up in the morning late But gets to work right at eight His job he really now hates 'Cause every day is monday Hands in his report to His boss who he can see through He knows he's gonna get screwed 'Cause every day is monday... Next office is a sly one A sexy female hired gun She says she wants to have fun But somehow he should turn and run The meeting in the next room Could lead to his career doom The inscription on his corporate tomb Says "Every day was monday" Every day is monday...
