Story behind the song
David Jamerson Abramowski (eventually affectionately nicknamed "Big D" by Keori) is a young white male of Jewish decent living in the Upper Eastside area of New York City. A Harvard Alum, successful software & web graphics developer by trade and a avid comic book blogger, David has established his own small fortune while still living under the unappreciated guidance of his parents who are worried that he may never find a "nice Jewish girl" to marry. While David is heterosexual ( despite what his Uncle "Jo-Jo" believes) , he has never really sustained a successful romantic relationship and instead chooses to spend his free time with highschool buddies and in pursuit of new business ventures. On a Saturday afternoon while browsing his favorite bookstore for a new comic book, he comes across Keori who is there reading "T.D.L.R.". David is instantly smitten, though rather intimidated and at a loss for words as to what to say or do. After a few awkward "walk bys" David finds the courage to introduce himself and they strike up a conversation. Although the two come from two different worlds, they find that they share common depth and go on to begin dating. During the time of their relationship, the pair experience quite their share of weird moments. Keori is invited to the lavish home of David's parents for a traditional jewish dinner and David's grandmother & mother are both a bit more than curious and proceed to ask "unorthodox" questions; "Would you consider converting to Judaism?" "" Have you ever dated a Jewish guy?" "Do you believe in God?" and a trip to a popular soul food restaurant for "Jerk Tofu Stew" nearly results in a physical altercation between David & one of its patrons ( who is African American) when the patron asks Keori why she's there with such a "lame" guy. On the flip side, the two have their share of fun adventures; David explores the world of "drop crotch" pants ( he usually wears skinny jeans, an even skinnier shirt and low top sneakers or vans), they travel to a small bistro in Italy for "The World's Best Steak" (according to David) & are frequent "VIPs" at the hottest nightclubs throughout Miami & New York City. When David realizes that he is falling in love with Keori, he is more afraid than on the first day that they met, that she may not be "that into him".
