Story behind the song
Inspired by alien encounter, moon landing conspiracy, crop circles and vanishing glows.
Lyrics
Look at Nick Pope greeting the Pope Blessing an orb in a robe Blessing us all holding a ball Keeping it under his cloak Gazed at the sky in the middle of night Wasn't expecting to find A silver machine bright without wings Shiny Vimana in flight Ken Arnold said they went over his head Venusians in old Idaho Remember the day Remember the day Venus in phase Tall whites and Greys Space brothers with saucer to go Flash in the Sun Reg Presley claimed he'd stood out in the rain Measuring a found ratio Newspaper vans reporters were banned Interference blocked the radio Deep space surveyed Andromeda saved Crop circles and vanishing glows Out in the Sun

I'm a bit late here but, better late than never... A very british song, and as others have commented, the Beatles/Martin influence does come through which is nice. I also like the interesting quirkiness of the arrangement, very well done! Mauri.

Like this one Graham. A great catchy song. It has lots of elements that I really like. Nice little touches that you hear on closer listening. The acoustic guitar is perfect, but that other, clean (compressed/chorused ?) guitar tone is utterly sublime. Quite often guitarists are scarred of playing it so 'clean'. Here on this song, you can hear why it IS the sound to go for. A well deserved 'hit'.

Really great song in every way. I particularly like the arrangement/composition and those changes/breaks - definitely got a George Martin vibe to it. Fantastic job on the vocals and lyrics. Excellent video too. No. 1 hit material.

Really excellent track, with well chosen instrumentations and flawless composition/vocal parts. Creative video fitting the meaning ( as described in the info), magical atmosphere with a particular early 70´s feeling, may be because of the acoustic guitar and that original vocals: kinda Beatles influence shining through when listening to the chorus part....IMHO of course....!! :) Great track!
