Story behind the song
Symphonic poem illustrating a year of struggle of the Egyptian people ending with 4 great days from 30 June to 3 July 2013. About 30 million Egyptian citizens went down the streets to show their solidarity against the new regime that took power after the January revolution 2011. The demonstrations succeeded in toppling the fascist regime with help of the Egyptian army. The army gave a 48 hours warning to the president and his government to listen to the voice of people and accept early elections. The president refused the warning and elections. Instead, threatened the people that there will be blood shed. By the end of the 48h., the army had to intervene in response to the overwhelming popular movement. On the evening of 3 July, the regime was declared to have lost its legitimacy by the will of people as there was no parliament at the time (all powers and authorities were taken over by only one man, the president). Egypt spent an exceptionally happy night on 3 July. Steps are being taken towards new elections as soon as possible.

This sounds very Egyptian for me, somehow. At 1:37 it's changing into a carnival performance of a big band. It's marching from 2:35 on. There is something very old in this music and I can imagine a very old film. A funny one about a group of people traveling around the country with their performances, let's say in 1870. No sadness at all, here. This is surprising. Good job!
