For the CBC Challenge - TIME. We live in the past and dream of the future, but if we could travel through time it might be best to travel to NOW.

Story behind the song
The song has two themes interwoven in the same lyrics. The first is that we live in the past and think of the future. Thus we are rarely living in the moment which is often the most important time we should experience. The second theme is about how the time we have in our lives runs out. As we approach the end of our time, the increments of time we mark off become ever more minute. Eventually we come to a point where we don't expect more time, where each second becomes precious.
Lyrics
Time was once, But time is past. A god has died, He’s breathed his last. Tomorrow, Today, Yesterday Have no meaning Now. I’d walk on stones And ancient bones If only time would allow. [Long Bridge] Time has come To only this A cup of wine, A lingering kiss. The Future, the Past, the Present day Have become this single hour. A minute, a second, a simple prayer. No – More – Time.

Hi Larry! great yLrics, meaningsful, I would not say sad may be melancholic, but true anyway!! You made a distinctive track fitting the Challenge theme in a special ponit of view ( I agree totally with your thoughts). Great harmonies (interesting chords arpeggios) and melody, mellow character and a really well performed vocal part!! Good work.

A sad tune, but very beautiful. A very interesting angle on the whole time paradox issue - to travel to now. I like the arpeggios that keep carrying the tune through new exciting chordprogressions. Great stuf!

Great, profound songwriting. It takes a rare skill to say so much in so few words. And then the music says more than the words can. Beautiful piece Larry, excellent work.

A very Expressive vocal performance. It delivers a brilliant musical narrative that is warm and melancholy...Simply a joy to absorb...Well done for the evening theme.
A beautiful statment of longing and loss. I could definately see this on stage - now where's the rest of the play? :) Some brilliant changes leading up to the ending that tell the whole story with just three chords.
