Having lived right across from Detroit City for over 10 years now, I've never heard this song...great version Rod! I really like the instrumentation...keyboards are very warm sounding, and the vocals are well done too.

I used to play this song in bars in the old days when I did a country gig. This is quite different version but really good. I don't know why I'm getting a rap song autoplay, whenever I come to this Detroit City.
