CBC Fable Challenge. Bill played keys and a Yemenite (kudu) shofar. I'm considering doing more on this theme, so this would be the "prelude" I guess. (ORIGINAL VERSION - see I and II for updated version)

Strange music for strange people.
Dollar Bill and The Unmentionables has been recording slightly silly music since 1989. In 2010 we started making videos to stare at while the song plays. Genre: varies, sometimes within the same song even. Be sure to check out the video page, as many of the songs have super high-budget (i.e. $0) music videos

Beautifully performed! Has that modern contemporary feel with a medieval touch - bravo!
This is a truly magnificent song, Bill!!!!! As a Fable for the CBC, it was one of the very best of the best for the Fable Song Challenge. But this outstanding production goes way beyond as an Epic song with such POWER in all of the instrumentation. Hopefully, this will, indeed, be the first in this "Dollar Bill" Classic Genre of many many more songs after this marvelous initial "song teaser".... Thanks for the pleasure of this song, and for the download for future enjoyment.

Some epic historical blockbuster deserves this as its score. It's much too clever for my brain to be able to imagine how you composed and recorded this, but I am well impressed, as I have been many times before by your multifaceted musical talent. It sounds very authentic and well done. Are there any more to come in this style ? If so, I'll say shofar, sho good .... I couldn't resist the pun :)

It's film music for sure. The inner films start rolling immedialtely, showing all kinds of great, beautiful sceneries. I hear some Keith Emerson (ELP) on the chord progressions, but your music is truly your own and placed somewhere between progressive rock and film score. All in all a very impressive fable theme song!

It feels like you are telling a story by playing instruments. A lot is happening, everything is intuitive (improvisation?). For me only the film is missing. This is very original, personal in a way. I'll have to listen again. Very good!

Absolute sonic bliss here Bill, the mood you create begs an epic story to follow.. I hope there is more like this to come.
