Story behind the song
This person is stuck in a recurring struggle, which he's been forgiven for many times in the past. He's in it again. Christ is knocking at the door and he's afraid to open it. He fears this time he'll be facing judgment rather than mercy. (I'll still put my money on mercy.)
Lyrics
There’s a chill all around me now On this long, dark, lonesome road Took a wrong turn along the way But I been here before Why can’t I see What I came here for? It’s worryin’ me What’s behind the door. I’m down on my knees Please help me Like you did before Wastin’ time lookin’ everywhere I can’t take it no more There you were standin’ right outside Knockin’ on my door Why can’t I see What I came here for? It’s worryin’ me What’s behind the door. I’m down on my knees Please help me Like you did before

Haunting is a good word for this lovely piece. Soulful guitar, a heartfelt melody and lyrics. Very very nice indeed, I enjoyed that, thank you, have a happy and peaceful Christmas:) I have a new one here on the Click, a prog rock piece, 'What It Is', which has been in the works for several months now. This is only half of it at 10 mins long, 'hope you can handle it through the end? When you have time https://soundclick.com/r/s8n7t1 Cheers from Australia

Very dramatic and moody blues with a really nice flow somewhere between Jim Morrison and Bob Seger, but very fresh in the presentation. Nice one gents!

Classic world class brilliance across the board. A beautifully paced, comfortably relaxed, tone/texture rich treat. The lyrics and delivery, guitar work (yikes!), and superb drumming blend seamlessly. You guys are armed and dangerous, love it!

This is one of the best blues rock songs I've ever heard. The guitar playing is filled with plenty of great blues styles. High class drumms as I'm used to...Jon is a master. And Frank...is a Bluesman. The vocals are amazing. Gimme more of that stuff
