Story behind the song
Yaya Diallo often heard this music in Bamako, the capital of Mali. On a visit to Cote D'Ivoire Yaya heard a variation of the djembe accompaniment. What had become too familiar now had a new life. Yaya's reason for playing this music with a new arrangement is as he said with a laugh and joy in his voice, "because I like it."
