Some say the Blues is the devil's music. If they are right, then I'm taking it back. Musical talents are a gift from God and I will honor my God by using the talents God has given.

Story behind the song
Love to walk, especially in the woods. Around Chicago in the woods is likely by a river. Some think it's boring, nothing to do. But you can steal a racoon's lunch, or a goose's wing feather, or you can trap a beaver and sell its hide. DISCLAIMER for 3rd stanza: Check all applicable federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to use and placement of traps and snares. I think snares are illegal in Illinois.
Lyrics
I went down by the river, stole a Duck’s egg from a raccoon. I went down by the river, stole a Duck’s egg from a raccoon. He said That’s all right, Buddy, I’ll be Raiding your hen house soon. I went down by the river, stole a Wing feather from a goose. I went down by the river, stole a Wing feather from a goose. He said That’s all right, Buddy, that old Feather was already loose. I went down to the river, set a Snare at a beaver slide. I went down to the river, set a Snare at a beaver slide. Beaver feels like sliding He will soon give up his hide. Lil Bit went into town walking Down the railroad track. Lil Bit went into town walking Down the railroad track. You know, it started to raining And Lil Bit’s hair went back. I walked down the street, I had Sweet things on my mind. I walked down the street, I had Sweet things on my mind. Wife gone to bed, Husband close behind.
