Story behind the song
Recorded for the Coconut Blues Club French Challenge. This endeavour led me to some really great new music. I now have a new Pandora station; Gotan Project.

One of the best things about the challenges is that they make us all stretch outside what we normally do. This is an excellent "stretch" too! A very creative use of the accordian that we all used cause it sounds French.
An exceptional song, Eddie, with a brilliant composition of "French Tango". You have captured a night in France with a Fusion/Latin/Jazz ambiance...and the excitement of your song easily leads one's imagination... A wonderful contribution for the CBC French Song Challenge - and thanks for the dl of this great song.

Creative genius, breathtakingly unique blending of influences, really wonderful, compelling stuff. Kept returning to this throughout the evening, super-cool indeed!

This was a real highlight for me on the night - a complex, brooding, genre-defying piece straight out of the back streets of Marseilles. Great textures, rhythm and a lovely understated menace. Fantastic!

A great addition to the evening's theme. Love the accordion playing work as well as the unique percussion rhythm...
