Lyrics
ike the beat, beat, beat of a tom-tom When the jungle shadows fall, Like the tick-tick-tock of a stately clock As it stands against the wall, Like the drip-drip-drop of the rain drops When the summer shower is through, So a voice within me keeps repeating you, you, you. Night and day, you are the one; Only you beneath the moon and under the sun; Whether near to me or far, It's no matter, darling, where you are, I think of you Night and Day Day and night, why is it so? That this longing for you follows wherever I go; In the roaring traffic's boom, In the silence of my lovely room, I think of you Night and day. Day and night, under the hide of me; There's an oh-such a hungry yearning, burning inside of me. And its torment won't be through, 'Til you let me spend my life making love to you Day and night, night and day. Day and night, under the hide of me; There's an oh-such a hungry yearning, burning inside of me. And its torment won't be through, 'Til you let me spend my life making love to you Day and night, night and day.

The ram doesn't smash his head on this one does he, nice little sort of stepping out song. Neat little poem. Well delivered in a very unique way that blends it seems to me a variety of different styles.

This is completely your style. I wouldn't guess it's a cover of Cole Porter. I must say I really don't know anything of Cole Porter, but I will look (listen) on the internet. Very well done. I'm curious for what the original is like, guess it's completely different. I listened to the original version and recognized the melody. Think it's from 1934 and indeed completely different. You made a modern version of it and I recognized the melody when I listened a second time. Think you changed the rhythm. Funny!
