The Day the Earth Stood Still -- filmed across the Potomac from where I was living -- was one of my favorite films, with music by Bernard Herrmann who used a theremin in the soundtrack.

Very fun opening. Great driving bass and rhythm. Really enjoyed the vocal effects and guitar work. Just a well produced, cool track. The Earth no longer stands still thanks to Al's music.

I enjoy going musically where you take me Al. Great concept and fun approach to sci-fi. Love the dialog addition which really keeps things in perpective. Great job here as with all your pieces!

Hello there Al,
First off, my apologies for my delay of getting here for this extraordinary work!!!! My work and attachments have taken far too much of my time!!!! One of my all time favorite movies, scifi or not.....and you really capture the spirit of this movie and charge the emotion of it's message, seemingly effortlessly.....but I can hear the work that went into this beautifully layered melody with hints of the theramine, vocalizations and mystical charm.........a MasterWork!!!!!

Amazing stuff Al! Killer guitar riff, love the way the synth picks it up and then the bass/drums kick in wow! Awesome production, crystal clear mix and perfect drums - this is really great. Fantastic!

Very nicely done. Of the number of recordings I've listened to on your page this one is quite different from them - showing your diversity in music production. Interestingly at least for myself anyway there is in your recording a clear and timely message to all mankind on this planet. Enjoyed the listen of this thought provoking recording.

Oh you definitely reel me in with this subject matter. Excellent in every way. Klautu if I remember right was the robot sent to end wars on Day the Earth stood Still. I remember this dialogue quite well actually saw the movie for the zillionth time a few months ago. Very nice work musicianship is top notch.
P.S. I have a song called the Ballad of Roswell where I use sound effects from the war of the worlds original. Great minds think alike. LOL!

Looks like I discovered a hidden gem here. I notice the track was released some time ago but it sounds like it could have been yesterday. Superbly atmospheric and masterfully produced. I really must make the time to listen to more of your tracks.
