Story behind the song
I was blown away by Herbie Hancock's arrangement of Stevie's "I Just Called To Say I Love You". The jazz chord voicings, the string arrangment, and the amazing Raul Midon's vocals prompted me to try this cover. I thought the groove of Stevie's "Golden Lady" would follow nicely, so I stayed pretty true to his "Innervisions" version.
