Story behind the song
The Circus comes to the city by train.A street route is blocked off and slowly fills with families & media, waiting to catch a glimpse of the BIG SHow heading to the Arena. You can hear the excitement building as the show approaches! Little funny cars, driven by Painted CLOWNS, followed by a chain of ELEPHANTS,then caged carts of EXOTIC ANIMALS...making their way to the event center. This SHOW contains 98 tracks combined to produce this live feel. Sit back and enjoy the show! Jon

This delightful tune is the Circus. You have captured all of the exciting sounds which make us all so happy under the big top. Your drums carry the song! They are the foundation for all else in this music - and always in real time during the magic of Circus. A most creative and brilliant contribution for the May 2012 CBC Circus Song Challenge.

a bit jazzy and very cool mixing! nice spaced out tracks and does sound like you are under one big-top tent, while many performances are going on in different sections...all at once. no clowning around here! very creative and cool sounds!! if there was a circus video game, this would make a great soundtrack. : )) i've never been to a circus before...so this was a fun trip.

This is a neat take on the circus challenge, a nonstop ride with a bucketload of soundclips/effect thrown in, including a trumpet (an elephant trumpet). Gasps in amazement ! Love the ending.
This is just a whole lotta fun with a bit of everything in there. Quite the wild ride!

When my kids were small they had a Fisher Price circus train. It was fun, but not this much fun! This is just wild, sort of like KH Stockhausen doing jazz in a fairground with a fantastic drum and bass groove going on. Smiles from start to finish - great stuff! :D

Detail, textures, excitement, extremely visual...hell, this number transports the listener to the circus in a BIG way. This presentation emulates being there perfectly, wow, just fantastic!!!

Circus mayhem at it's best. I am most pleased however, that you are taking part in the challenges. It builds all our "songwriting muscles" because it is usually outside the normal genres we write in.

WTG Jon! you somehow managed to pack all the intrigue, excitement, wackyness, danger, confusion, wonder, fun, and toil that goes into setting up the big top :D

This very creative piece certainly provides the realism of the Big Top experience. I can see you put a lot work into the creation. FX are exceptional ( a lot going on here…Cool) Love the lion tamer act…Yep! This is really nice…don’t want to forget the awesome drum work going on within. GREAT!

Excellent! Love the sound effects and the rhythm - definitely captures the many things that happen around a circus - creates some great visuals in the mind, love the way it harnesses the wildness, the showmanship and the many aspects (sounds, atmosphere etc). Brilliant job.
