Story behind the song
Approximately December 1, 2003 Canie Alexander who is a Korean and Vietnam Veteran approached me with some lyrics and ask me if I would be interested in doing this song. With very few changes in the lyrics I agreed we should do it. Canie told me the reason he wrote this song was because when he came back from Korea and Vietnam there was no welcome home to the troops and there was no song that was dedicated to the troops.
