Queen of the Cover Songs...
This is something I'm doing just for fun -- to live out a lifelong dream since the age of around 7 or so when I realized that I could carry a tune (without the use of a bucket!) and it didn't sound bad. Much love and thanks go to those in my SoundClick family (and now beyond!) who helped to encourage/challenge me to spread my wings to try this out and continue to take it to the next level. Without your kind support I'd still be just a listener (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Story behind the song
This was a song by The Cranberries from 1993. I couldn't quite get Dolores' brogue down fully for this one, but you might hear bits and pieces here and there. I absolutely LOVE the harmonies in this song which is the main reason I chose to record it. i remember when this song came out...i was maybe 13. exilent vocals and the harmonies sound perfect!! cool remake...really takes me back to a more carefree time :D !

This was a top song at the CBC Irish/Celtic Song Challenge, Mary! Your voice is SO BEAUTIFUL with such intensity of message/lyrics. As I told you earlier in my comment last Saturday, I couild "linger longer" on this wonderful tune - and, thanks to you, I will with a dl for future song listening and listening again and again.

Dolores O'Riordan is a huge favorite mine, the cranberries had some awesome arrangements and her voice just accented even more, A very spell bounding song and you did a wonderful job capturing it!!! Rod

This gave me goosebumps! The Cranberries and especially Dolores O'Riordan has always been a favourite of mine. You nail it so good. The harmonies are beautiful and there are times, when you can almost hear Dolores singing along. Thank you for this, Mary Clare.
