Story behind the song
A metaphorical look at deception & the human psyche. How people deceive, manipulate & control. Many people are happy to be fooled because it suits their own motives. We are often surprised by the reaction or actions of those we think we know well. The "showman" or person in the public eye can alter perceptions by being charming and amusing. Often the best showman gets the votes or support rather than a more genuine, less flamboyant character. We all change due to circumstances and experiences. Often we unwittingly wrong-foot those who think they know us. Best to be aware that behind every shining light, there's a dark shadow.

For me this track is awesome the melody the carnival effects on the keys state mood perfectly for the great story you tell. Love it.

great mix (perfect mix!) and musically it's got EJ vibes throughout especially so in chorus, just so good and wonderfully melodious! Lyrics are brilliant but so is entire song (excellent vocals!), very cool composition and performance!

Quirky. That’s first thing that comes to my mind. But then it suck’s you in. Very addictive. This song is brilliant on so many levels. Similiar effect that Sheryl crows all I wanna do has. That’s a quirky song but is just so listenable.

I've been away for a week or so Rodrica, finally back and listening to this beautiful song, wow!!! everything's played so well, love those clown riffs, your vocals are great, so is the instrumentation, clear and focused to the vocals and lyrical sense, great song, really enjoyed it, well worth the wait.
