Devil Theory has a jazzy, intense, eerie feel. Rooted by an upright bass, the song grabs your attention immediately. The ghostly, Brazilian vocals and panning swell FX accompany the melody nicely.

I like to think I've created music that can be enjoyed by anyone, no matter what taste they prefer. Many of my songs are instrumental. I understand music without vocals tend to become boring at times. I am aware of this fact throughout the production process. When I'm making a song, I try to keep "Mike" out of it. The music that I listen to or buy, is not what I tend to make. People's musical taste can be very specific and unique. So I also try my best to keep the music interesting and pleasing to the ear. First, I use a lot of hooks and transitions and time changes. I try not to let a section of a song become redundant. I also like to experiment with all kinds of styles of music. One of my songs may have a classical feel. Strings and winds, piano and harps. Some may be entirely live instruments and another all electronic based. Some I'll use sampled beats or dialogue samples, and yet another track will be metal, blues, indie, and others a hip-hop, house, or techno. Lastly, I try to mimic our emotions that will match our daily activities. The soundtrack of your life. You have a song for driving, a song for unwinding at home, a song for working out, a song for a club, a song for friends, a song for nostalgia, a song for anger, a song for the beach, a song for the seasons, and a song you can make love to.

Story behind the song
There's not much to it, except that I am very happy how this turned out. More so, it only took a few hours to write. It would be too quick to say that I think it's one of my best songs, so I'll wait and see how it is received by those less bias.
