Story behind the song
Egyptian Obelisks were built before 3300 years. Many of the 33 Obelisks were taken to other countries where they were set up in the city squares as a symbol of power. They appeared in London, Paris, New York, Istanbul and Rome. There are 13 Obelisks in Rome alone, even inside the Vatican. Some obelisks were given away by the Egyptian Rulers a political gifts. But many were forced-shipped away by historical figures like the Emperors of Romanian Empire. An Original Egyptian Obelisk would be engraved "in totto" of one piece of granite rock stone that weighs about 18 tons. "Copy" obelisks were built by multilayer stones, like that in Washington, USA. Obelisks served 3 main functions; power & knowledge symbol, religious symbol and public shadow clocks. Although the obelisks in Paris & London were named as "Cleopatra's Needle" they were actually misnamed as they were built by the Egyptian Pharaohs like Thutmose III & Ramses II between 1000 to 1300 years before Queen Cleopatra ruled Egypt. In fact she was the first ruler to transport obelisks from the older capital of Egypt in the south, now "Luxor", to her new capital Alexandria on the Mediterranean where they taken from to Europe.

Like Alexander and Al , me too got that film-music feel. A little short do.. I like the middle east type of scales you use. A great storytelling piece of music!

This song is really taking you for a trip in ancient times. I can imagine an old fashioned film projector, making a lot of noise (like we used to watch family films in the living room) and then this music out of an old radio. There is a real Egyptian atmosphere as well, a kind of archeological and mystic one. It's a pity that it stopped at 2:00, I would have liked to stay a while in it. It's very special, Ousama. Music for a very old movie. A documentary about ancient times is possible too.

This is a sterling film composition with much emotion to the scene. As I was listening I was transmitted to Egypt Africa in all its splendor. A true mark of superior musical compostion.
