Kelley Vice brings together diverse elements of acoustic rock, jazz, and innovative technique in an unconventional style rich with alternative tunings, vibrant melodies and passionate vocals. Influenced heavily by James Taylor, the late Michael Hedges, Chris Cornell and Dave Matthews, Kelley's songwriting is evocative and painfully honest, conveying a depth of emotion that keeps listeners coming back for more. Kelley's music encompasses a wide spectrum of style and emotion, ranging from the smoldering "Give In" with its explosive final coda to the haunting "I Can Still Fall". His instrumentals move easily from dark sensuality to playful innocence. Though all are executed with the same unique character developed over two and a half decades of performance, no two songs are alike.

Lyrics
Oh, you’re looking at me with those sorrowful eyes And you’re telling me that your purpose Has eluded every attempt to define And this darkness that’s crept over your fading sight You’ve been blinded But you can still see me In what’s left of your light If you surrender to this feeling Waiting to die Slowly closing the doors to your freedom One by one If there truly is no meaning No raison d’etre Do you want to find out Girl, just open your eyes There’s a reason that you are here, my friend And the truth walks beside us in silence Like a long-forgotten friend Do you believe that we will all find out in the end I just know I don’t believe That we were all born to die We all owe a death when we are born But that doesn’t mean that we have to pay Until it’s our time to go And the blade that you have wielded To sever your ties You don’t understand why It has now turned in your hand There’s a reason for you to be here, my friend And the truth walks beside us in silence Like a long-forgotten friend Do you believe that we will all find out in the end I just know I don’t believe That we were all born to die
