Story behind the song
A song for Sian and Gavin for their wonderful dog Custard, which was written as part of a fund raising project 'song in a million' for rescue dogs in the care of DDA Watch. Sian wrote the most heart-touching letter about Custard's happy life when she and Gavin took this beautiful dog into their lives and hearts as a young and adorable pup. Now, many years later Custard is a wise and loving, gentle soul who makes friends wherever he goes and he has given many children confidence because he is so calm and peaceful to be around. Paul and I had the greatest pleasure of meeting Custard at the DDA Watch 'No Voice No Choice' fund raising event in Surrey on August 6th 2011 and he made a huge impact on us, sitting beside him and looking into his beautiful and much loved eyes was an unforgettable moment and I hope we will meet this lovely companion dog again in the future.
We created a song from the inspiration of Sian's expressive words in return for a donation direct to DDA Watch to help the 'Magnificent Seven' rescue dogs reach a happy future.
